The Equal Opportunity Act ( 2010 ) - 1734 Words

Introduction In recent years, many industries such as tourism and hospitality in the workplace have undergone numerous discrimination cases. The Equal Opportunity Act (2010) is legislation that protects people. That applies to employers, but also defends all workers, included full/part time worker and interns. (Australian Human Rights Commission 2014). Under the law, discrimination, prejudice, racism, as well as sexual harassment, are individual behaviours, which are connected to insulting, speaking or treating people with disrespect. In this research paper, the concepts of each type of discriminations are described, some examples from actual case studies are identified, and strategies for managers are discussed. The purpose if this paper will assist the managers in the industry could evaluation the techniques for measuring strategy effectiveness.
